I haven't read the book before I've seen the movie. And I haven't seen enough of Garrett to judge his acting (I'm bad a t that anyway). But I think he did a great job with the little screentime he had.

My god! Murtagh is so hot! I haven't read the book, but I'll do it soon. The first time I saw the picture on the top of the Eragon DVD, when I saw the face of Murtagh, I don't know why, but I had the feeling he would become my favorite character of this film. I wasn't wrong! HE'S my favorite! I love his hair and also his eyes (so cute...)! I would like to have a cape like his.

I would like to have a cape like his. Hotaru has. Go and read the book! He gets even better with that!

I loved Garrett as Murtagh but the part was too small and the movie was too unlike the book. I was the only person in the theater (11:30 in the morning on a Wednesday) and everything that was different in the book I pointed out. Loudly. I loved him but the movie needed a heck of a lot of work.

My friend won tickets to a sneak preview of Eragon, and although she didn't say anything till after I'd seen it, she came close to telling me not to see it at all (AS IF. If Garrett was in a movie for one minute, I'd go see it on opening day). She thought I was going to burn down the theater when I saw how little screen time he had. I was actually so excited to finally see it that it took a few days for it to sink in.
Three days, actually. I started FREE MURTAGH on December 18th.
I think I was halfway expecting the screen time to be bad. They had pretty much cut Garrett/Murtagh from the publicity by the late fall, and hell yes I noticed it and got suspicious.

Yesterday I saw a poster in a video store in France and it was a Murtagh poster (the pic with ajihad in the background)! I wish I would have had some time - I would have gone in and try to buy it off them (ok, my French isn't that good - would have been a bit difficult). I only saw it from the bus to the concert though.

I'd be all "stop the bus!!!" *yoink!* I'd leave some bills on the counter, though. I'm not a thief. lol.

It's really quite hard to find posters with mainly Murtagh in them.

It's really quite hard to find posters with mainly Murtagh in them. Nearly impossible. Just the existence of this French video store poster is exciting. I don't think I've ever seen a Murtagh poster. The closest is maybe the one month he's featured in the Eragon calendar. Other than that, all I've seen are the group shot posters.

Luckily they had the poster he was on here. Mostly. lol. But there was on the train station in Oslo and this looooooong corridor you walk to get to the platforms and there it was tens of tens of Eragon posters down the hole way. But not Murtagh! I was so bummed at that! XD

well, he IS H-O-T! But, he needed MORE PARTS I mean, who cares about the relationship about Eragon and Arya. It was obvious even without the fancy-smancy hand reaching part. And Murtgah is a very importent part of the book, and he is deep and has complex emotions. I really wish they could have showed that. And I didn't like the way they met. I would have liked it to be like the book. You know, Eragon waking up to see Murtagh there, making some food. And then some talking, then Brom dies. T.T And then they start thhe journey to the Varden.

They have to read the book to learn more about [glow=red,2,300]Murtagh[/glow]
